This is the role

As a Logistics Operations Administrator within the Land Transport Procurement team you are responsible for planning rail transport activities for all European LYB plants. You proactively execute all freight planning activities in an accurate and timely way and communicate shipping schedules and details to relevant parties (plant location personnel, logistics provider and business operations as needed).

In addition, you provide effective and clear answers between stakeholders (customer service, production activities and rail purchase) about the availability of equipment and transport requirements. Managing your fleet activities is also part of your duties, as is planning and monitoring the maintenance and repair activities for tank wagons within the LYB fleet. The connectivity tools that you use for these tasks are SAP, ECHO and Telematik, you also coordinate system updates and changes between our LYB factories.

Finally, you harmonize and coordinate the order management procedures and you support in the implementation of logistics purchasing activities.

This is what you bring

  • Minimum bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent level of experience in industry
  • You are fluent in English and German (written and verbal)
  • Minimum of 2- or 3-years relevant Supply Chain/Logistics/ Business experience preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP and familiar with ECHO
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Outlook, Office Word/Excel)
  • Willingness to travel within Europe when necessary
  • You are eligible to work in the EU and you currently reside in the Netherlands
